The surrounding of the site – skyscrapers, high density housing, and multi-layer parking- is the first challenge of the project. Therefore the project aims to create spaces such as patios and skylight:They collects maximal natural light and protective spaces for disabled children, which filters the chaotic surrounding context. The idea is to create a series of “bubbles”, some are constructed , some are green spaces, and one path connecting them as a whole. The architectural details consider the necessities of disabled children and their family. The opening on the walls and visual communication system are inspired by the work of famous Milanese designer Bruno Munari.
